Alexander is a Vålerenga man. You picked up on that pretty quickly.
The preparations took place at Nina’s home — a calm start, champagne at a steady pace, and the kind of energy that only exists between people who have been close for a long time. The flower girl was there from the beginning.
Vålerenga church isn’t Oslo’s largest. But the light has a quality of its own. Nina walked the aisle with her father, and that was one of those moments where I was simply glad to be there.
After the ceremony, we took portraits in the Old Town and along the streets of Vålerenga. It was Alexander’s suggestion, and it suited the day well — ordinary streets, autumn colours, and a couple who didn’t need direction.
The reception was at Smia Galleri. The space has character — brick walls, art, and an atmosphere that doesn’t need much decoration. Toward the end of the evening, Nina threw the bouquet. No one was quite sure who caught it, but everyone seemed fine with it either way.
