Frequently asked questions
Questions and answers.
How far in advance should we book?
+
Popular dates — especially Saturdays from May to September — book out 12–18 months ahead. As early as possible is the honest answer. But get in touch regardless: it's always worth checking whether a date is available.
Do you travel outside Rogaland?
+
Yes, happily. I've photographed weddings in Oslo, Bergen, Lofoten, Telemark, and abroad. Travel costs (transport and accommodation if needed) are added and always agreed upfront.
How many photographs do you deliver?
+
Usually between 30 and 50 edited photographs from a full day. That may sound few compared to photographers who deliver 400+, but I believe in quality over quantity. You get the photographs that actually hold up over time.
Can we request specific shots?
+
Absolutely. A list of group photographs you want is very helpful — it lets me plan the logistics around the ceremony and dinner. For the spontaneous, documentary work, I lead. But we'll talk through expectations properly beforehand.
How long until we receive the photographs?
+
Within six weeks of the wedding day. During peak season (June–August) it may take a little longer, but this is always communicated clearly.
How do you deliver the photographs?
+
Via a private online gallery where you can view, download, and share. The gallery stays active for at least one year after the wedding.
Do you work with a second shooter or assistant?
+
No. I work alone. That means better control, stronger continuity, and one consistent style throughout the gallery.
What happens if you're ill on the wedding day?
+
It's a real risk when booking a solo operator. I have a network of photographers I trust and will always try to find a replacement. It hasn't happened yet — but it's honest to say the guarantee isn't absolute.
Do you use a contract?
+
Yes, always. The contract protects both parties and sets out the details: coverage, delivery timeline, cancellation terms, and usage rights.
Can we use the photographs freely?
+
You receive full personal usage rights — printing, social media, whatever you like. I retain copyright and may use images in my portfolio and marketing, which you agree to when signing the contract. Exclusivity can be arranged if you prefer.
