Oslo and surrounding area
Wedding photographer in Oslo
I'm based in Fornebu and photograph weddings in Oslo and surrounding area regularly. The city is my home base, and I know the light, the locations and the logistics well.
Oslo is one of Norway's most interesting cities for weddings, precisely because there's so much variety in such a small area. From the Oslo fjord to Marka, from the historic city hall to modern Bjørvika, from urban cobblestones to forest clearings ten minutes from the centre. It gives a couple almost unlimited freedom in how they want the day to look.
For weddings in Oslo and the surrounding area, there are no travel costs and I don't need to plan accommodation. That makes it easier to be flexible around meetings, site visits and changes during the planning process.
Locations I know well
Every place in Oslo has its own character, and the light behaves differently depending on time of day and season. Here are some of the locations I've worked at:
- The Opera House and Bjørvika — modern architecture, water, and light that changes dramatically through the day
- Ekebergrestauranten and Ekeberg sculpture park — views over the city and one of Oslo's most beautiful frames for portraits
- Frogner Park and the Vigeland sculpture park — classic, green, works almost year-round
- Holmenkollen and Nordmarka — for couples who want forest and elevation rather than city
- Bygdøy and the Oslo fjord — calm, close to nature, perfect for outdoor ceremonies
- City Hall — civil ceremonies in iconic surroundings
If you have somewhere else in mind, chances are I've been there or can do a site visit.
Practical
As a local, you avoid travel costs for the day itself. I can meet you before the wedding without extra logistics, and I'm flexible on timing. For couples planning destination weddings elsewhere in Norway, I can still be your photographer — travel costs are agreed in advance.
