Averøy isn’t the first place people think of for a wedding. That might be why it works so well.
The day began at Sveggvika Gjestehus, where Marianne got ready with her daughters and bridesmaids. There weren’t many quiet moments. Laughter, champagne, and the kind of conversation that only happens between people who really know each other. I knew early on this was going to be a good day.
The ceremony took place out on the dock at Naustvollan Marina. No church roof, just sea and sky. Marianne cried. Tony cried. The guests cried. I photographed.
It was the first time I worked with my partner Lisa as second shooter. We got to borrow the couple’s cabin during our stay — an offer you don’t turn down. It let us follow the day from start to finish without stressing about logistics.
Marianne and Tony are the kind of couple who make the job easy — not because everything was perfectly planned, but because they were themselves the whole day. There was never a dull moment. Not one.
