Norway
Wedding photographer
in Norway.
Norway is one of the most extraordinary places in the world to get married. The landscapes do most of the work.
I'm based in Rogaland in southwestern Norway, but I photograph weddings across the country — from Oslo in the east to Tromsø in the north, from the fjords of the west coast to the archipelagos of the south.
Norway offers something genuinely rare for weddings: landscapes that don't need filters or good angles. The light in summer lasts until midnight. The fjords go on forever. Even the weather, when it comes, usually becomes part of the story rather than a problem.
Regions I photograph regularly
- Rogaland and Jæren — my home region, no travel costs
- Oslo and Eastern Norway — several times a year
- Bergen and Western fjords — Hardangerfjord, Sognefjord, Geirangerfjord
- Lofoten and Northern Norway — midnight sun weddings
- Tromsø — northern lights season (October–March)
- The Norwegian coast — islands, lighthouses, coastal farms
Practical information for international couples
Getting legally married in Norway is straightforward, but the paperwork takes time. Start the process at least 3 months before the wedding. The Norwegian Tax Administration (Skatteetaten) handles this, and their English guidance is clear.
Many international couples choose to complete the legal marriage at home and hold the ceremony in Norway — this is simpler and equally valid.
I'm happy to help you navigate the practical side of planning a Norwegian wedding from abroad. Just ask.
